I’m fighting for all of us

From the moment I entered this race, I’ve been focused on one thing: putting the people of Kansas ahead of party and politics and finally giving them the kind of leadership they deserve.

Like thousands of Kansans across the state, I’ve watched Sen. Marshall spend his time in Washington backing policies that drive up prices for hard-working families, reduce access to healthcare and hurt our farmers and small-business owners — all because he’d rather toe the party line than fight for the folks he was elected to represent.

I got into this race because it’s time for things to change. It’s time for Kansans to have a true champion. They deserve a leader who will listen to them, think critically about how to solve the challenges they’re facing and stand up against the policies that hurt them — even when doing so is hard.

I believe, with every fiber of my being, that the only way to create the kind of real change that Kansas and the country needs is for leaders to put party and politics aside and listen to the people they represent. It sounds like common sense, but it’s an approach to politics that seems to have fallen out of practice in recent years. I’m running to change that. I’m not a politician. I haven’t spent a decade in Washington. I’m a fifth-generation Kansan who loves my family, my community, my state and my country.

I’m fighting for those folks — not corporate PACs or special interests. I’m in this for my granddaughter Stella and every other child in Kansas. I’m fighting for regular people who work hard to put food on the table, pay their mortgage and give their families the best life they possibly can. I’m here for every single Kansan who believes it’s time to end the chaos and division, bring good Kansas values to Washington and make this country better than we found it. And, I’m in it for you.

Friends, I’ve met with thousands of Kansans who are ready for change. But with early voting having started, Sen. Marshall and his supporters are going all out to mislead voters about me and my record. The GOP’s top super PAC just launched a massive ad buy to drown out our message, and it might be working: The latest polls show this race is tightening.

I know we can win this, but only if we keep up our momentum and make sure we have the resources to respond to whatever Sen. Marshall and his supporters throw our way.

So please, will you chip in anything you can to help us reach fight back against Sen. Marshall’s attacks and flip this seat?
